I've had this fan now for over two years and use it in the summer to keep my home office cool. It is fairly quiet and moves a lot of air either into or out of the room. The build quality is good using quality plastic and tasteful styling. At first, I found no way to easily clean the unit of dust at the end of the season. Disassembly seemed a bit complicated for the task of cleaning. So I just give it a good spraying with "Simple Green" cleaner on the back deck and hose it off after 30 seconds with a light spray from the garden hose. This Vornado Model 133 air circulator fan may be small, but it's mighty fine. Perfect for a studio apartment like mine, of just over 300 sq. ft. Especially since Pint-sized apartments usually have "open concept" kitchens, requiring a lot of air circulation if you cook a lot, like me. Lasko 2002W Personal Fan, 6-Inch, White

I bought this fan for a month now. This fan works really well to cool down my notebook computer and external hard drive (I use speed 1, never use speed 2). About the noise, I put it right next to my laptop, so I know it is running but it does not bother me at ALL. I also like the design of the fan. The motor is cover with smooth hard pastic unlike those cheap pastic. Overall, I really recommend this fan to everyone. Dreambaby Stroller Fan, White/Blue

This fan is great! We bought two for our May trip to Walt Disney World. My baby is 9 months old and she played with this fan all week. It never hurt her and never broke, even though she was pretty rough with it. The blades are foam but the fan produces a better breeze than most other portable fans I have had. It is very easy to position the fan to any angle you need and we clipped it to the canopy on the stroller. We were at Disney/Universal Studios for 5 days and used the fans everyday constantly. We only had to replace the batteries in each fan once, which I thought was great! This fan was great to keep my baby cool, especially during naps. I can't tell you how many times we were stopped by other parents to ask where we got the fans. We even saw other parents who had other stroller fans that are sold here on Amazon and they wished they had bought this one. The battery compartment does have a little screw you need to take out to change the batteries, but we realized you can leave the screw out and the battery compartment still clicks in place. Vornado Duo Small Room Tower Air Circulator

My office runs about 10 degrees hotter than the surrounding offices, especially during the spring and summer, so I am always looking for options to circulate air better and cool things down a bit. The other fans I've tried have been more irritating than helpful, given the noise and the tendency to blow papers everywhere, without actually affecting temps much unless you sit right in front of them. I have this vornado duo fan in my office now, and it's made a huge difference. It has four speed options (which I appreciate compared to the standard 2-3 far more than I expected to), and on all but the top speed, the noise is pretty negligible. The vents also do a great job diffusing the air enough that it seems to truly circulate the air of the room rather than just blowing in a linear stream -- which means that it actually cools the room, and doesn't blow my papers around. I also like that it's both compact and can be set up either horizontally or vertically. My only minor irritation is so petty that it isn't worth taking a star off for -- the shape is slightly asymmetric (intentionally so, because of how the air flow works), and I keep thinking that it's off kilter and trying to straighten it. Lasko #3723 20-Inch Premium Box Fan 3-SPEED

 Finally - a great box fan! We use box fans for white noise as well as circulation. The three "Galaxy" brand fans I had died within a year and I could not find more box fans at Wal-mart during winter. After reading the reviews here I bought two of these Lasko brand fans. One for us, one for my daughter. We run them at night, all night every night. This is a quality fan - it weighs more than the cheap Galaxy fans at the discount store and makes more noise. My bedroom was really hot and stuffy and I was not sleeping good due to this, so I ordered the twin fan. I don't see that it is very noisy at all, but it is well worth the money and then some. Has high and low and you can also turn it around and pull the hot air to the outside. I don't have to turn on the a/c yet as the temps have still been low, thus saving on the bill. I would tell anyone who has a air moving problem to buy and try. I am so pleased with it and can sleep now. Would rather pull up the blanket instead of tossing it off and burning up. Just received this fan yesterday. Assembly was remarkably easy, and it works beautifully and quietly. At the highest speed it really puts out a lot of air; enough to tip the upper part of the fan backward very slightly. The low and middle speeds are enough for most uses, and it just about the only sound you get is of the air rushing out. More than anything, this is an impressively powerful fan. I'm the type of person who prefers not only fan noise, but ideally a fan blowing directly on me while I sleep. This is pointed at the wall above my bed and the airflow, even on lower settings, is tremendous. I will toss out that it's not quite as quiet as some reviews may lead you to believe. All but the lowest setting create audible fan noise (which would be expected for moving that much air), and even the lowest setting makes a sound.
